The _g_x_d_i_t_v_i_e_w program displays gtroff output on an X
display. It uses the standard X11 fonts, so it does not
require access to the server machine for font loading.
If _f_i_l_e_n_a_m_e is ----, _g_x_d_i_t_v_i_e_w will read the standard input.
The left mouse button brings up a menu with the following
entries:
NNNNeeeexxxxtttt PPPPaaaaggggeeee
Display the next page.
PPPPrrrreeeevvvviiiioooouuuussss PPPPaaaaggggeeee
Display the previous page.
SSSSeeeelllleeeecccctttt PPPPaaaaggggeeee
Select a particular numbered page specified by a
dialog box.
PPPPrrrriiiinnnntttt Print the gtroff output using a command specified by
a dialog box. The default command initially
displayed is controlled by the pppprrrriiiinnnnttttCCCCoooommmmmmmmaaaannnndddd
application resource, and by the ----pppprrrriiiinnnnttttCCCCoooommmmmmmmaaaannnndddd
option.
OOOOppppeeeennnn Open for display a new file specified by a dialog
box. The file should contain gtroff output. If the
filename starts with |||| it will be taken to be a
command to read from.
QQQQuuuuiiiitttt Exit from _g_x_d_i_t_v_i_e_w.
The nnnn, Space and Return keys are bound to the NNNNeeeexxxxtttt PPPPaaaaggggeeee
action. The pppp, BackSpace and Delete keys are bound to the
PPPPrrrreeeevvvviiiioooouuuussss PPPPaaaaggggeeee action. The qqqq key is bound to the QQQQuuuuiiiitttt
action. The rrrr key is bound to the RRRReeeerrrraaaasssstttteeeerrrriiiizzzzeeee action which
rereads the current file, and redisplays the current page;
if the current file is a command, the command will be
reexecuted.
The ppppaaaappppeeeerrrrlllleeeennnnggggtttthhhh and ppppaaaappppeeeerrrrwwwwiiiiddddtttthhhh commands in the DESC file
specify the length and width in machine units of the virtual
page displayed by _g_x_d_i_t_v_i_e_w.

_G_x_d_i_t_v_i_e_w accepts all of the standard X Toolkit command line
options along with the additional options listed below:
----hhhheeeellllpppp This option indicates that a brief summary of the
allowed options should be printed.
----ppppaaaaggggeeee This option specifies the page number of the
document to be displayed.
----bbbbaaaacccckkkkiiiinnnnggggSSSSttttoooorrrreeee _b_a_c_k_i_n_g-_s_t_o_r_e-_t_y_p_e
Redisplay of the gtroff output window can take upto
a second or so, this option causes the server to
save the window contents so that when it is scrolled
around the viewport, the window is painted from
contents saved in backing store. _b_a_c_k_i_n_g-_s_t_o_r_e-_t_y_p_e
can be one of AAAAllllwwwwaaaayyyyssss, WWWWhhhheeeennnnMMMMaaaappppppppeeeedddd or NNNNoooottttUUUUsssseeeeffffuuuullll.
----pppprrrriiiinnnnttttCCCCoooommmmmmmmaaaannnndddd _c_o_m_m_a_n_d
The default command displayed in the dialog box for
the PPPPrrrriiiinnnntttt menu entry will be _c_o_m_m_a_n_d.
----rrrreeeessssoooolllluuuuttttiiiioooonnnn _r_e_s
The gtroff output file will be displayed at a
resolution of _r_e_s dpi, unless the DESC file contains
the XXXX11111111 command, in which case the device resolution
will be used. This corresponds the _D_v_i widget's
rrrreeeessssoooolllluuuuttttiiiioooonnnn resource. The default is 75.
----ffffiiiilllleeeennnnaaaammmmeeee _s_t_r_i_n_g
The default filename displayed in the dialog box for
the OOOOppppeeeennnn menu entry will be _s_t_r_i_n_g. This can be
either a filename, or a command starting with ||||.
The following standard X Toolkit command line arguments are
commonly used with _g_x_d_i_t_v_i_e_w:
----bbbbgggg _c_o_l_o_r
This option specifies the color to use for the
background of the window. The default is _w_h_i_t_e.
----bbbbdddd _c_o_l_o_r
This option specifies the color to use for the
border of the window. The default is _b_l_a_c_k.
----bbbbwwww _n_u_m_b_e_r
This option specifies the width in pixels of the
border surrounding the window.
----ffffgggg _c_o_l_o_r
This option specifies the color to use for
displaying text. The default is _b_l_a_c_k.

displaying widget text. The default is _f_i_x_e_d.
----rrrrvvvv This option indicates that reverse video should be
simulated by swapping the foreground and background
colors.
----ggggeeeeoooommmmeeeettttrrrryyyy _g_e_o_m_e_t_r_y
This option specifies the preferred size and
position of the window.

This option specifies the X server to contact.
----xxxxrrrrmmmm _r_e_s_o_u_r_c_e_s_t_r_i_n_g
This option specifies a resource string to be used.
XXXX DDDDEEEEFFFFAAAAUUUULLLLTTTTSSSS
This program uses the _D_v_i widget in the X Toolkit. It
understands all of the core resource names and classes as
well as:
wwwwiiiiddddtttthhhh (class WWWWiiiiddddtttthhhh)
Specifies the width of the window.
hhhheeeeiiiigggghhhhtttt (class HHHHeeeeiiiigggghhhhtttt)
Specifies the height of the window.
ffffoooorrrreeeeggggrrrroooouuuunnnndddd (class FFFFoooorrrreeeeggggrrrroooouuuunnnndddd)
Specifies the default foreground color.
ffffoooonnnntttt (class FFFFoooonnnntttt)
Specifies the font to be used for error messages.
ffffoooonnnnttttMMMMaaaapppp (class FFFFoooonnnnttttMMMMaaaapppp)
Specifies the mapping from groff font names to X
font names. This must be a string containing a
sequence of lines. Each line contains two
whitespace separated fields: first the groff font
name, and secondly the X font name. The default is
